Adventures through Earth’s Elements
Discovery science, art, and culture to spark curiosity and creativity through the elements of earth, air, fire, and water! Create exciting hands-on experiments and activities to explore geology, design your own geode and display box to showcase its brilliance, then dive into the world of crystals during a hands-on interactive gemstone collection game and learn about sedimentary rock formation through an edible experiment. Play with magnets, make gooey magical magnetic slime and learn about Earth's magnetic field. Paint a ceramic earth planter while exploring Hopi traditions then create a dazzling Aztec sunstone to celebrate ancient craftsmanship.
Week 1: Examine mineral specimens, geodes & design your own geode & display box.
Week 2: Paint a ceramic earth planter & explore the Hopi Native American view of earth.
Week 3: Make & experiment with magnetic slime to learn about earth’s magnetic field.
Week 4: Explore geology & crystals through an interactive gemstone collection game.
