Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® Engineering - While exploring engineering, architecture, and physics, students will design and build motorized machines, race cars, satellites and much more out of LEGO® bricks, gears and axles all while developing problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Many children dream of being an astronaut and traveling to space, so Bricks 4 Kidz® created an entire unit around space! Each week, students will learn about real-life space exploration and build a new model related to the NASA space program. Models include a satellite, a centrifuge which astronauts use to prepare for the physical sensations of launch, a treadmill which astronauts use to stay fit in space, and a “space robot” and more! During this unit, students will learn some of the science behind launching things into orbit, will hear about the most-distant man-made object in the universe, and discuss what it is like to be an astronaut in space. Are you a budding astronaut? An adventurer who loves space exploration? Then you’ll love our Space theme projects. Let Bricks 4 Kidz® launch your imagination to outer-space and beyond!
Session II - Transportation
If you like planes, boats and automobiles, then this unit is for you! Each week, students will build motorized models of a dragster, an airboat, an airplane, helicopter and more. Explore the history of transportation from horse and buggy and trains to the development of the automobile and flight. Each lesson introduces terminology related to each mode of transportation, like “lift and propulsion” for the airplane, as well as describes how each “vehicle” works. And the best part is -- the models are so much fun to play with! Lots of building fun ahead with motorized models of a airboat, car, dragster and airplane. These models rock, roll and spin! Your child can follow our step-by-step model plans to create their vehicle, then customize it to their own specifications and take their mini-figure for a ride!
