    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. The fundamentals of painting and drawing will be the primary emphasis. The goal is to have the students enjoy expressing their thoughts and feelings, visually building their confidence as young artists. (Art can be messy at times, please make sure that your child wears clothes that can potentially get paint or marker on them.)
  • ART - CARTOONING

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. In Cartooning, students will work on drawing skills in a variety of cartoon styles. Students will create a comic strip using storytelling and their favorite cartoon character. During the class, students will practice facial features and expressions, while working toward creating their own original character. Animal characters will also be created after first studying from real life images.
  • ART - CERAMICS

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class will be an introduction to the basic ceramic process of hand building clay objects, glazing and firing. Students will learn about geometry (identify 2D and 3D shapes, calculate area/perimeter/volume) while creating their own items out of clay.

  • ART - FAIRY TALE ART

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. With a cup of reading, a spoonful of writing, and a dash of art that makes the best spell for Fairy Tale Art! This course will mix reading, writing, and art to give a unique and comprehensive perspective on classic fairy tales. (RL.2)
  • ART - HANDICRAFTS

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. The Handicrafts class is a fun class where students will create decorative and useful projects involving paper crafts, fiber arts, and recycled objects. Students will use and develop some basic skills with a variety of materials including paper folding, needlework, and painting while using creativity and imagination to make the projects their own.

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. From endangered species to beloved pets, young artists will investigate details about animals and their habitats to develop techniques in texture drawing, 3D clay sculptures, and watercolor paintings.   • EDIBLE SCIENCE (Formerly known as "Math-er-chef)

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Dive into the world of Edible Science this summer! In this Elementary Summer School course, students will embark on a culinary journey, experimenting with a variety of ingredients to determine the best fit for creating mouthwatering dishes. Unleash creativity by learning the science behind the perfect recipe combinations. If your child has any food allergies, it is strongly recommended that they DO NOT enroll in this class. Caution: This class may use peanut, dairy, and/or meat products.
  • JUNIOR HIGH PREP CLASSES - HONORS MATH 7 PREP

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Available for incoming 7th grade students who will be taking HONORS Math 7 in July. Has your student recently qualified for Honors Math in 7th Grade? Are you concerned about them moving from 6th grade math to skills with 8th grade math (Honors 7th grade math)? This class will focus on essential 7th grade math skills in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
  • JUNIOR HIGH PREP CLASSES - HONORS MATH 8 PREP

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Available for incoming 8th grade students who will be taking Honors Math 8 Algebra or Algebra 1 in July. This class is designed to help students transition to high school Math. Has your student recently qualified for Honors Math in 8th Grade? Are you concerned about them moving from 7th grade to 9th grade math? This course will prepare your student for Honors Math for 8th grade. This class will focus on essential 8th grade math skills in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
  • JUNIOR HIGH PREP CLASSES - MATH 7 PREP

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Available for incoming 7th grade students who will be taking Math 7 in July. Did your student struggle in 6th grade math? This course is designed for students that are below grade level in math and prepare your student to be successful in their 7th grade math class. This class will emphasize essential 6th grade math skills and introduce students to some 7th grade concepts as well, all in a fun and engaging manner. Was your student successful in 6th grade math and you would like them to be introduced to 7th grade math content? Please register your student for the Honors Math 7 course since it will be covering 7th grade content exclusively.

This course is designed for students below grade level in math and will prepare your student to be successful in their 8th grade math class.   • LANGUAGE ARTS - CREATIVE WRITING

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Does your child love to creatively write? Kids will be encouraged to use their imagination to write an imaginative story. Students' writing skills will be fine tuned through various hands-on lessons. Art will also be tied into this course as students publish their stories. Students will be able to utilize creative penmanship as they write. Grades 3 and up can also learn and practice cursive skills. (W.4)
  • LANGUAGE ARTS - FUNDATIONS!

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Phonics and phonemic awareness are essential skills in developing an effective reader. FUNdations, is a research proven program that gives students a large “toolbox” to utilize when decoding and comprehending unknown words and phrases. This year’s course will use games, peer collaboration activities, and videos/songs to keep the class motivated and fun for the summer. (RF.3)
