  • MATH BOOTCAMP

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class will give your child a boost to help prepare them for the school next year. These classes are for students performing below grade level expectations. Come join us for some fun while working on basic skills. This class will focus on the standard of numbers sense across the grade levels using hands-on and engaging activities.

  • MATH FOR ENRICHMENT AND GIFTED

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This course is meant for students entering 1st through 6th grade for the 2024-2025 school year who are at or above grade level. This class will be a fun, but challenging way, to continue your students’ growth in math over the summer. This course is also designed for students for the 2024-2025 school year who are newly qualified gifted students. This course will prepare students for advanced math.
  • MH Tennis Summer Camp

    Camp will focus on basic stroke production for forehands, backhands, serves, volleys, scorekeeping and match play. The goal of this camp is to help kids develop a love for a game they can play for the rest of their lives! Beginners Welcome! Campers may attend one or both weeks. Each camp consists of four days (90 minutes each day) working on and learning the fundamentals of tennis. Coach Macy Hunt is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and loves the game of tennis. She has been playing tennis for 9 years and coaching for 4 years. She also played on the Arizona State USTA Club Tennis Team and loved it! She loves working with kids and helping them find their own love of tennis. Camp instructors include current and past GPS varsity players and other experience coaches from around the Valley.
  • MUSIC - BEGINNING BAND

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is for students who have never played a band instrument before. Students will learn the skills needed to perform music on their instrument in a solo or ensemble setting. Daily practice is required. A concert is held on the last day of class. Students are responsible for providing an instrument.
  • MUSIC - BEGINNING STRINGS

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is for incoming sixth grade students who have never played a strings instrument before. Students will learn the skills needed to perform music on their instrument in a solo or ensemble setting. Daily practice is required. A concert is held on the last day of class. Students are responsible for providing an instrument. Instruments can be rented from any local music store. Instruments allowed are: violin, viola, cello, and bass.
  • MUSIC - FIDDLE STRINGS

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is for strings students who have played their instrument for at least one year. Students who just finished 5th or 6th grade and will be an incoming 6th or 7th grade student may participate. Students will learn the skills needed to perform music on their instrument in a solo or ensemble setting with an emphasis on fiddle tunes from around the world. Daily practice is required. A concert is held on the last day of class. Students are responsible for providing an instrument. Instruments can be rented from any local music store. Instruments allowed are: violin, viola, cello, and bass.
  • MUSIC - INTERMEDIATE BAND

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is for students who have played a band instrument for at least one year. Students who just finished 5th or 6th grade and will be an incoming 6th or 7th grade student may participate. It will focus on improving all skills and expanding the quality of performance in both solo and ensemble settings. Daily practice is required. A concert is held on the last day of class. Students are responsible for providing an instrument. Instruments can be rented from any local music store.
  • MUSIC - INTERMEDIATE SWITCH BAND

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is for students who have played an instrument for at least one year in 5th grade band and are switching to another instrument for 6th or 7th grade band. It will focus on learning the new instrument, improving all instrument skills, and expanding the performance quality in both solo and ensemble settings. Daily practice is required. A concert is held on the last day of class. Students are responsible for providing an instrument. Instruments can be rented from any local music store.
  • MUSIC - INTERMEDIATE SWITCH STRINGS

  • P.E. - FITNESS AND SPORTS

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. This class is an extension of the Dynamic Physical Education Program which students are involved in during the school year. Students are exposed to a wide range of activities and games where fun is emphasized in a non-competitive environment.
  • P.E. - INTRO TO DANCE AND MOVEMENT

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Want to get your feet and body moving this summer? Want to have some fun and learn some basic dance steps, moves, and body positions. This fun class will be an introduction to many styles of dance such as ballet, folk, hip-hop, and jazz. Students are exposed to a wide range of activities and movement in a non-competitive environment.
  • PRE-K ALL THE WAY

    This Course is specially designed for students entering Kindergarten in the 2024-2025 School Year and will follow the district summer school schedule of 8:30-11:30 am. Our teachers will design engaging, hands on, and interactive lessons for your child to participate in each day. Children will follow a preschool routine, which will include: Circle time activities, small group rotations (for math, literacy and writing), science and STEM lessons, social interactions, and gross and fine motor activities. Each three hour class can have up to 20 students, with one teacher and one instructional asst. . Children must be independently toilet trained. NOTE: If you live within the boundaries of Boulder Creek, Burk, Gilbert, Harris or Oak Tree, you may qualify for a 50% discount in the form of a title supplement for this class.   • SCIENCE - ANIMAL SCIENCE

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. The Animal Science class is a scientific approach to learning about 5 different animal species (Mammals, Fish, Reptiles/Amphibians, & Birds). Together we will learn all about animals. The children will learn how to identify the different characteristics of each animal group. They will complete worksheets, play games, build habitats and complete activities that will encourage them to learn about these fascinating animals.
  • SCIENCE - BUGS, BLOOMS, BUMBLEBEES OH MY!

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. In this course, students will be participating in hands-on activities learning about butterflies, sunflowers and ladybugs. Students will be growing their own sunflower, learning all about how the sunflower grows and what it needs as well as learning about ladybugs and how they are good for plants. Students will also be learning all about butterflies by watching a real live one develop.
  • SCIENCE - COOKING WITH S.T.E.A.M.

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. Does your child love to cook? Do they love to play with their food? Then this class is for them! In this class we will use science, technology, engineering, the arts and math to not only cook food but also to explore food. Weekly/daily cooking activities will reinforce what they learn. If your child has any food allergies, it is strongly recommended that they DO NOT enroll in this class. Caution: This class may use peanut, dairy, and/or meat products.
  • SCIENCE - INTERMEDIATE S.T.E.M.

    Please select the grade level your child will be entering for the 24-25 School Year. In this course you will be using science, technology, engineering, and math to solve various issues. In this course you will design an aircraft, design a greenhouse, create a sturdy bridge, build a rocket, and experiment with the oxidation process.

Does your child love exploring, discovering, learning, and creating? If so, please join us for a literature based S.T.E.A.M (science, technology , engineering, art and mathematics) class. Students will have the opportunity to test their problem solving and life skills, ignite their curiosity, and be inventive. Students will read STEM based literature and incorporate modern real-world applications and activities to enhance their love and appreciation for literature . They will examine the scientific method, build simple machines, create innovative animals, participate in hands-on experiments, and engineer musical instruments. Let your child explore the wonders of science and engineering through hands-on experiences.
